The Architects worked with the Building Committee
and congregation to complete a feasibility study that identified
a Master Plan to address an expanding program and infrastructure
issues. This building, located on the green in the historic
village center, has become an icon for the Town. It was important
to complete defined maintenance and repair work to continue
the long term viability of this beloved structure. In addition,
to remain viable in the 21st century, it had to address significant
program issues including site circulation, parking, expanded
sanctuary seating, expanded chancel, more effective program
and fellowship space, handicap accessibility, etc. The first
phase of the implementation program has been approved with
construction scheduled to start in Spring 1999.
