The Architects developed a viable strategy for
renovating this 74 year old 12,000sf building
to a state of the art research and archive facility.
New environmental systems and controls, lighting
and power, data features, full handicapped access,
including an elevator woven into the existing
building; and fire protection systems were provided.
The upper floor provides staff only archival storage,
the main floor provides the research library and
exhibit space and the lower level provides climate
controlled storage and archeological space. The
project was completed Summer 2006. |
