The Architects, working with the Board of Trustees,
developed a program and solution to expand on
the existing site in the center of the Town while
still providing for future expansion. The solution
is to create a barn form perpendicular to the
street and connected to the existing building
at two levels. The form recalls an earlier barn
that stood on that site in a similar way. The
current program is met with the space provided
on the first level of the new and renovated space.
The lower level is for future expansion. The building
will be accessible in this first phase, as well
as future phases of finish. |
