With
the generosity of an abutter, additional land
was given to the Library for an addition and off
street parking. The Architects determined the
program needs of the library and the required
parking. With several city and building alternatives
submitted, a selection on the desired amount of
land that would be necessary to make an addition
to this historic building in its downtown setting
work was made. The plan was accepted to the Planning
Board and the Town in March 2007. The Architects
are now working to develop a formal plan and budget
to submit to Town meeting 2008.
