The Architects provided services for the design
and construction of a new senior center on South
Main Street on the west side of the city. The
Senior Center, approximately 15,000sf on two floors,
is located adjacent to the existing West Side
Community Center/ Library. The facility provides
up to eight multi purpose rooms; commercial kitchen,
parlor, retail store, and administrative space.
In addition to needing to be compatible with the
existing former firehouse, it uses a mix of materials
and forms to scale it with its multi-family residential
neighborhood. Construction completed November
2004. |
