Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority hired The Architects for a phased construction project for elderly housing. The site's existing Knights of Columbus Hall, will be demolished at the end of Phase I. Phase I includes a new 1,500sf hall for the relocated Knights, as well as an 800sf kitchen that will be utilized by the Knights of Columbus and MH&RA at different times. The new facility includes 31 units of senior housing and 1,200sf dining room, parking will also be provided for 65 cars, which includes Phase 2. Phase 2 will extend the building westerly to include another 30 units of housing. Phase I was completed August 2010 and Phase 2 is scheduled for completion July 2011. |
